Signs tells the tale about a family in need of a miracle when there put against a army of hostel aliens trying to kill them. The movie main character is Mel Gibson and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, so before you see the movie don't expect any gore or guts. Its safe to say that the movie don't intend to scare you with blood or violent images just emotional and deep meaningful feelings it gives out. For me this is one of M. Night Shyamalan work out of others including, Unbreakable, The village and The sixth sense.

Acting in this movie is out of this world, the actors really get into their characters and do the movie a great deal of class. Mel Gibson plays a priest who has lost his faith due to the death of his wife, the two other remarkable small actors that play the children follow in Mel's footsteps as actors. They all give a breath taking performance as M. Night Shyamalan's movies are more emotional and deep, they were expected to deliver. The movie has so much heart throbbing moments which really make you feel for the family and it makes you think you actually know them in real life. Due to the great acting the movie was born, without the excellent acting of the 4 main actors this movie would of been fucked from the start.

The special effects in the movie are bog standard. The only CGI involved was at the end when one alien was created to do a attack scene in the last few minuets of the movie. For me i didn't like it, the alien looked out of place there, you could clearly see it was CGI and even though it was a great idea in the storyline to have the alien jumping out like that, it never worked. For me they should of used a different method instead of lame ass computer drawings. Throughout the movie no major blood or gore was included just a few bits of CGI, however the lack of blood didn't mean it ain't horror and didn't scare you because this movie clearly does.

Movies like this touch me, this one did for sure. The emotional depth this movie has is unreal, with its silent scenes and great lines it works so good, its unreal. The soundtrack is very slow and meaningless, its great, its unforgiving but also so cool. Parts are slow but other parts are just unreal, its so freaky si-fi. The visual scenes in the movie are great, i did notice that allot of the camera angles in the movie are very straight and very clear. This gives a really weird alien feel and this also adds to the feeling of the movie, along with great sound and great lines.

Altogether this movie is a really cool horror movie, its in depth and attention to detail provides the basis for a great movie and with a excellent director like M. Night Shyamalan, its bound to be a classic in everyone's eyes.
